Wet SandBlasting
typical use of wet sandblasting will be in areas where dust would cause environmental issues public areas walls car parks bridges ect.
Our wet blasting system combines water and pure natural abrasive media along with compressed air to produce an abrasive clean that simply cleans away surface coatings, easily and efficiently. Working pressures are fully adjustable so we can be as gentle or as aggressive as we need to be depending on the surface that we are cleaning.
the amount of water used is just enough to dampen the abrasive. Typically our 60 litre machine uses no more than 50kg of abrasive per hour.
Our system uses environmentally friendly media, along with clean water and compressed air to remove the problem with very little waste or contamination leaving a thoroughly clean, undamaged surface.
What can it remove?
Marine Antifoul • Rust • Graffiti • Oxidation •Soot • Paint • lime Scale • Tar • Varnish • Biological Contaminations • Chewing Gum • White Lines …and much much more!
What surfaces can it be used on?
• Brick • Stone • Concrete • GRP • Plastic • Wood • Stainless Steel • Mild Steel • Other Metals • Granite • Marble • Limestone • Sandstone

Dry sandBlasting
Here at gritblater.co.uk We specialise in surface preparation and cleaning services, which include blast cleaning, sandblasting, pressure washing, and chemical cleaning services. We also offer post blast cleaning services such as priming, welding, concrete and brick sealing, and Galvanising using hot zinc.
If you are looking for a specialist in surface preparation including blast and sandblasting services, pressure washing, chemical stripping and welding/fabrication we can help. We are based in Norwich Norfolk. But we have worked throughout England and some of France.
With blast cleaning there are occasions where traditional dry sandblasting systems have their benefits, these systems are generally more aggressive than wet sandblasting because, the valve on the blast pot has to be wider open compared to our wet blast system, but the lack of water means that the abrasive doesn't stick to a cleaned surface and so for internal work, the end result can be less messy. So for some tasks we do recommend and use these dry sandblast units.

Hot zinc spraying
Metal spraying provides an effective barrier to corrosion on metalwork.
A protective coating of zinc in molten particles is flame sprayed onto prepared surfaces through a hand held gun.
The hot zinc spray can be applied in different thickness to produce different life spans depending on the environment, but are typically between 50 and 150 microns.
Hot zinc spray provides an excellent protective substrate.
A controllable thickness, even consistent finish, fused on, it provides a well keyed surface for subsequent painting,
Zinc is a coating that protects by oxidizing the steel substrate, other coatings (e.g. copper or nickel aluminium) can be applied by the same method, these rely on keeping an undamaged barrier around the substrate to protect it.
Subsequent treatments available
Sealing by priming is advisable to fill pores, leaving a fully protected and smooth finish.
Painting can be added to provide decorative finishes and extend the lifespan of the coating. Powder coating can also be applied to provide a tough consistent coating over the rustproofing qualities of zinc spray.

Priming
After having steel sandblasted it is very important to have it primed ready for spraying to protect it from the elements.
here at gritblaster.co.uk we offer a priming service so your item is ready for painting.
When it comes to painting surfaces it is very important to prime them.
The purpose of a primer, is to allow the primer to penetrate the surface allowing products applied to the top it to stick to the surface.
Also offering protection to the metal
