Here is some of the sand blasting equipment we have.
Whatever you require blast cleaning here at Gritblaster we have the tools for the job, from our small blast cabinets that are capable of grit blasting items as small a single nut or bolt, to our four wheel drive specialised blast cleaning rig capable of accessing areas such as electricity pylons, bridges, and all other structures that other vehicles cant access.
we also have trailer mounted grit blasting systems that vary can in power so we can look at the task at hand then decide on the best machine to approach that task.
All of our machines have adjustable pressures so we can turn the pressure down when delicacy is required to the point we can remove ink from paper, or all the way up when its needed so it will cut into stone, and there is a whole range in-between.

Our specialised 4X4 blast cleaning rig.
Here we have our four wheel drive specialised blast cleaning rig with built in HIAB crane for lifting heavy items to ensure we get all round them we can also lift beams RSJ's ect.
The rig is built on a 1980 Bedford TK, The vehicle was purchased in a poor state of repair so we totally striped the vehicle and blast cleaned it all piece by piece, we salvaged as many parts as possible during this process. the whole chassis, body, cab inside and out, wheels, where all blasted and repainted, the process took about 6 months in total as we was doing this along side our regular work. It has been a fantastic addition to our equipment and is great for sand blasting structures located on farm land and other hard to access areas, the Crane has made our life's easier as it has reduced all the lifting it also extends out the front of the vehicle and has a purpose build bracket for holding the blast hose for work on the floor such as white line removal. we can remove white lines on roads and car parks in half the time now, and with the crane taking the hose weight we can work faster as there is less fatigue on the operator. We also have an automatic grit hopper that fills the blast pot whilst we are blasting this saves any down time having to stop to refill the pot every 30-40 minutes, this saves us approximately 2 to 3 hours so we get more work done during the day. |
Our Trailer mounted Grit blasting rig
Here we have our trailer mounted Blast cleaning rig, this set up is more suited to Our work where the vehicle cannot remain on site, For example busy areas we can drop this rig off go and park the vehicle in a safe place and still have all the equipment needed to carry out the work.
This is a powerful set up with a 250cfm compressor it is also capable of wet and dry blasting so where dust suppression is an issue we can blast clean with water to suppress the dust, it has twin water tanks that are capable of carrying 400 litres of water. |
